The City Clerk is elected each April by the Board of Aldermen. The public may contact the City Clerk with questions about issues related to the Board of Aldermen Meetings, Board minutes and agendas, the City Code and ordinances, City Elections, or if you need to request a public record.


City Clerk's Duties and qualifications

The Missouri Statutes set forth the manner of the election of the City Clerk as well as a number of duties and responsibilities of the office.  In addition to those duties, Becky Dolby is the Human Resources Director for the City.  

Becky was hired by the City in June 1996. In February 1998, Becky was appointed Deputy City Clerk/Human Resources and in November 2001, the Board of Aldermen elected Becky to the office of City Clerk.


Professional certifications 

MMC - Master Municipal Clerk, awarded in December 2009 by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.

MRCC - Missouri Registered City Clerk, awarded in June 2003 by Missouri State University's Missouri Local Government Program.   

Professional affiliations

Becky Dolby is active with the Missouri City Clerks and Finance Officers Association (MOCCFOA) serving on several committees and is the Chair of the Education Committee.  

Becky is also active with the Central Division of MOCCFOA which has 63 members representing cities as far south as Waynesville, as far north as Brookfield, west to Sedalia and east to Mexico and Vandalia.
